UPDATE – First Responders On-Scene Downtown

Update – The Rapid City Fire Department was dispatched for a structure fire and it ended up being burning food in an apartment.

RAPID CITY, S.D. – First responders converged on the 800 block of St. Joseph Street in downtown Rapid City late Friday night for a reported incident.

An ambulance and two fire trucks from the Rapid City Fire Department were on the scene around 11 p.m. Crews had fire hoses connected and ready for deployment.

The exact nature of the call that brought the response remains under investigation by authorities in South Dakota. This is initial reporting and more information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
