WATERTOWN, S.D. – The 2025 SDHSAA ‘AA’ State Cheer and Dance competition took place on Saturday, October 25, from the Civic Arena in Watertown. Harrisburg won the state championship in cheer, while Brandon Valley won the state title in dance.
At the cheer competition, the Sturgis Scoopers placed eighth and set a new school record.
Competitive Cheer Coach Brooke Wuebben says “the girls’ tireless efforts throughout the season have truly paid off, and we, as coaches, couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishment. Their dedication to the team and perseverance through long practices and mamy competitions have been exemplary. Also we would like to congratulate Kathleen Cook, Sarah Bestgen and Lola Anderson on your All State Nominations as well as Lola getting the All State recognition.”
