She graduated from McLaughlin High School in 1949 and married the love of her life, Harold Labrensz of rural Sioux County, North Dakota on September 17, 1950. They enjoyed 68 years of married life until Harold’s passing in January 2019 and were the parents of two sons, Jeffrey and Michael.

Ramona spent many years ranching and farming alongside Harold. They enjoyed square dancing and traveled many places with friends and meeting others during the square dance era. They were excellent double-time polka dancers and also enjoyed fishing and playing cards with friends and family.

Ramona was very active in Redeemer Lutheran Church in McLaughlin and also in Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge after moving to Mobridge in 1995. She enjoyed sewing and doing embroidery work making her own square dance outfits along with quilts for each of her great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed her weekly card playing, taking her turn at hosting.

Ramona moved to the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, North Dakota in July 2024 and passed away there on October 10, 2025.

Ramona is survived by her son Jeffrey (Denise) of Sheyenne, ND, grandson Joshua (Brittany) Labrensz of Philadelphia, Pa and granddaughter Allison (Matthew) Pfeiffer of New Rockford, ND along with six great grandchildren, Jase, Lucas, Nicholas, Cooper, Madelyn and Vivian.
