SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Sturgis Competitive Cheer squad captured the Black Hills Conference trophy at the BHC Invite in Spearfish Thursday night.
Coach Brooke Wuebben says they made some changes following the Rapid City Central Invite, and it paid off.
“We only had one practice yesterday before performing Thursday and the girls just absolutely nailed everything and hit all their skills tonight.”
Sturgis finished in first place with a score of 161 with St Thomas More coming in second place with 133 points. Douglas was third with 122 points and Belle Fourche placed fourth with 110.
