RAPID CITY, SD — Following a suspected homicide, police have located and arrested 47-year-old Brian LeBeau for believed connections to the death of one Timothy Branch of Rapid City.
The arrest comes following an investigation which began on the morning of October 8th. Police and Medical dispatch directed first responders to 610 E. North Street following reports of a “cardiac medical event,” according to RCPD sources. Following the discovery of 66-year-old Branch “Emergency first aid was rendered by police until a medical unit took over,” said Brendyn Medina of the RCPD in a statement given to the press.
Following the arrival of medical personnel, Timothy Branch was transported to the hospital, where reports confirm he later died, and following an anonymous report of an altercation between LeBeau and Branch, an autopsy was performed on the 13th, showing that Branch had suffered a brain hemorrhage consistent with injuries from an assault.
Following this investigation, LeBeau was arrested on charges of First Degree Manslaughter in the early hours of the morning. Police investigation of this case is ongoing.
