RAPID CITY, S.D. – Top-seeded Rapid City Stevens girls soccer fell two goals short of a state championship berth, falling to Sioux Falls O’Gorman in the girls Class AA soccer semi-finals Tuesday night.
The Raiders fell behind 2–0 early in the second half, but would cut in to the O’Gorman lead with a goal by Ava Holzwarth. The Knights, however, would add an insurance goal to make it 3-1 and the Raiders ran out of time.
O’Gorman advances to the Girls Class AA Championship, where they will play Harrisburg, who beat Pierre 1-0.
In the Boys Class AA Semi-finals, Sioux Falls Jefferson defeated Sioux Falls Christian 2-0 and Sioux Falls Lincoln rolled over Brandon Valley 8-0.
