RAPID CITY, S.D. – A single-vehicle crash nine miles east of Rapid City, South Dakota, resulted in the death of one man Monday morning, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 9:02 a.m. at 23528 Bradsky Road.
Preliminary information indicates a 58-year-old Rapid City male was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Bradsky Road when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, entered the ditch, and struck a stack of hay bales.
The driver was transported to a Rapid City hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released pending notification of family. The use of a seat belt is under investigation.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. The information released is preliminary.
