Lawrence “Clint” Septka was born April 13, 1933 to Hazel and Ernest Septka. Sadly, he passed in his sleep the evening of October 10, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife Hope of 71 years and three children, Lyndelle, Brad, and Rod along with 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, with another on the way! He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard and Donald, and sister Carmen.
Born and raised in South Dakota, the family traveled around the country for work eventually settling on a ranch outside of Sturgis, SD where he loved to ride and train horses. At 17 he enlisted in the US Navy, where he served time in the Korean war and worked in engine room #2 on the Bon Homme Richard aircraft carrier. After returning, he married Hope Symonds and they went on to raise their family in Sturgis. He built the family home from the ground up, with construction completed in 1975. It sits nestled in the trees on 7 acres in Boulder Canyon, where he and his wife lived for nearly 50 years.
Clint was an established electrician and owned his own company, Septka Electric for more than 20 years until retirement. He worked hard to make a good life for his family who meant everything to him. With his humble nature and true spirit, he was beloved by everyone. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and all who knew him!
