
STURGIS, S.D. – In competitive cheer competition Thursday night, Rapid City Central captured both the cheer and dance grand champion titles at the Sturgis Invitational.
The Cobbler competitive cheer team finished with 187 points taking first place. Rapid City Stevens was second with 166.5 and Sturgis finished in third with 157.5 points.
Scooper coach Brook Wuebben was pleased with the team’s performance.

Rapid City Central won Grand Champion dance with 351 points, capturing the Pom, and Hip Hop categories. Rapid City Stevens, who won the Jazz category, placed second overall. Spearfish was third.
