No injuries reported after motor vehicle strikes garage in Lead

LEAD, S.D. – First responders in Lead say no injuries were reported following an incident in which a vehicle struck a garage.

The Lead Fire Department says at approximately 10:30PM on Sunday October 5th, they were dispatched to a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident involving a garage.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a vehicle had left the road way, impacting a garage and a second parked motor vehicle – rolling the second vehicle and coming to a stop on top of it.

Firefighters worked to secure the garage’s stability and ensure that the vehicles were stabilized and hazards neutralized. There were no reported injuries from the incident.

The incident is under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

Assisting Agencies were Momument Health Northern Hills Ambulance, Lead Police Department, Deadwood Police Department, and the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
