STURGIS, S.D. – Wyoming runners won both men’s and women’s races at the Sturgis Invitational Cross Country Meet on Thursday.
Aadan Luna of Sheridan won the boy’s race in a time of 16:18.74. Champ Ransom of Natrona County, Wyo. came in second and Everett Roberson of Kelly Walsh was third. Lennon Clarkson of Belle Fourche placed fourth.
For Sturgis, Quinn Bruch came in seventh place.
Winning the girl’s race was Lexi Longhurst of Kelly Walsh in a time of 19:53.60. Jaelyn Ruybal of Sheridan placed second and Greysen Cawieze of Kelly Walsh was third. Taylor Harrelson of Rapid City Christian came in fourth.
Top place Sturgis Scooper was Iris Zylstra in eighth. Her teammate Lucy Hamer came in 15th.
