RAPID CITY, S.D. – A water main break on Fairmont Boulevard is impacting approximately 30 homes, according to a City Utility Maintenance crew. The crew is on site responding to the break, which is located between Maple and Grandview.Officials said no businesses have been affected by the service disruption. Utility locates have been requested, and excavation and repairs are expected to begin shortly. The city estimates the water line will be repaired by mid-evening.Motorists in the area are advised to use caution. While no formal traffic control is in place, crews are working near the roadway.
