Raiders Surge in Second Half to Rout Mitchell 10-2

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Stevens boys soccer team broke open a tight match by scoring four goals in a five-minute span during the second half to defeat Mitchell 10-2 on Friday night. The game was played at Sioux Park Stadium in Rapid City.

The Raiders’ offense was prolific, taking 29 shots with 18 on target. Trent Policky led the attack with four goals, while teammate Ravi Moreland contributed a hat trick.

Mitchell started strong, with Sam Mullenmeister scoring in the first minute of play. Mullenmeister scored again in the 48th minute, bringing the Kernels within one goal at 3-2.

Three minutes later, Stevens’ Colton Kuyper answered with a goal off an assist from Josh Mueller, sparking the late-game surge for the Raiders. Logan Ward and Gabe Iverson also scored for Stevens. Mueller and Miles Wright each recorded two assists in the victory, solidifying the win for the Black Hills team.
