The Seventh Circuit Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program is preparing for its annual Fire & Ice fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 13. The formal-wear gala, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, is a key event for the nonprofit.
The evening will run from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature live music and a three-course dinner. Attendees will have a chance to win a loose one-carat diamond from Riddle’s Jewelry. The event will also include a silent auction and live music.
Tickets are available for purchase individually or as tables of 10. The RSVP deadline is September 4th. Tickets can be secured online at casaofrapidcity.org.
The local CASA program helps children in Rapid City foster care system. Volunteers are trained and supervised to advocate for the best interests of these children in court. For many of the children, their CASA volunteer is the only consistent adult presence they have in their lives as they navigate the court and foster care system.
According to Kehala Two Bulls, the Executive Director of Seventh Circuit CASA, “The Gala is one our biggest fundraisers of the year. It’s a chance for CASA to get out into the community and raise some much needed funds to support local kids.”
