Deadwood will once again be filled with chrome, horsepower, and nostalgia as the 31st Annual Kool Deadwood Nites gets underway August 21–23. The three-day celebration draws car enthusiasts from across the region to enjoy a showcase of classic automobiles, daily memorabilia sales, and a weekend packed with small-town charm.

One of the biggest highlights of the event happens Saturday at noon with a special charity auction. Up for bid is a 2015 Mustang GT Convertible Premium, featuring the 50th Anniversary Package and fewer than 5,500 miles on the odometer. The rare vehicle was generously donated by a family with a long history of supporting the cause—this marks their fourth car donation to the event.

Proceeds from the auction will directly benefit the Ronald McDonald House “House in the Hills,” which provides vital support and housing to families with children in medical care.

Organizers say the auction represents the spirit of the weekend: a chance to celebrate America’s love of classic cars while making a meaningful difference for families in need.
