RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to locate a missing and possibly endangered 25-year-old man. Gary Harrison III was last seen on August 6, 2025, in the Wasta area.
Harrison is known to frequent the Rapid City and Box Elder areas and has connections to Hot Springs and Edgemont. He is described as a 6’3″ male, weighing approximately 200 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. When he was last seen, he had a beard and mustache.
Anyone with information about Harrison’s whereabouts is urged to contact Investigator Alix Whittle at (605) 394-6115. The search for Harrison is concentrated in the Black Hills region of South Dakota, with a focus on his known locations.
