
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Great Plains Fire Dispatch reported a handful of small fires in the Black Hills Sunday.
The Hay Creek Fire was reported just after 4:00 p.m. five miles southwest of Custer.
Federal and local resources responded to fire, located on federal land.
The fire was listed at a tenth of an acre and was contained as of Monday morning. The fire’s cause was listed as unknown.
A second fire was reported about 13 miles southeast of Lead.
The Two Bravo Fire burned a tenth of an acre of federal land and was listed as out Monday morning.
The human caused fire was initially reported around noon time Sunday.
A third fire, reported early Sunday evening, remained active as of Monday morning.
The Buck Fire has charred 45 acres 7 miles southwest of Hot Springs.
