SDHP releases latest Rally Stat Report

STURGIS, S.D. – The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released it’s latest Rally Stat Report, covering the number of arrests, crashes and other calls for Friday.

The patrol listed five injury crashes in the latest report, with four of those resulting in serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Crashes were reported on U.S. Highway 14A, Highway 16A, Highway 87 and Highway 79.

Friday’s crashes bring the total for the year to 63. There have been 27 non-injury crashes. The number of fatal crashes remained at 4.

The number of D.U.I. arrests reached 112 Saturday with the number of felony drug arrests totaling 94. Misdemeanor drug arrests were at 238.

The patrol also issued a reminder to motorists Saturday that the Rally continues through Sunday and decreased speed limits remain in effect for the Sturgis area for the weekend.
