Connie Lou Tooman, 77, of New Castle, Wyoming, passed away peacefully at her home on July 14th, 2025.
Born in 1948 on a farm in Minnesota, Connie’s love for the land shaped both her life and her career. She began an accomplished career in agriculture with Pioneer Hybrid, where she was widely respected for her expertise and passion. Later, she and her husband, Michael Tooman, built a successful independent venture together in JMT Inc., a business rooted in their shared dedication to agriculture and excellence.
Connie was known for her deep affection for animals, her unshakable work ethic, and her wonderful stories. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and welcome. Especially famous are her homemade bread and rhubarb jam, treasured by all who tasted them.
She is survived by her devoted spouse, Michael Tooman.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the Newcastle Lodge and Convention Center. All who knew and loved Connie are welcome to attend and share memories of a life beautifully lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to their favorite charity in her memory.
