ABERDEEN, SD:The Rushmore Tsunami Swim Team (RST) capped off another historic long-course swim season qualifying 50 swimmers (most in team history) to compete in Aberdeen, South Dakota at the 2025 South Dakota Long Course Swimming Championships. The three-day state-wide competition featured the state’s fastest swimmers, 345 in total across six youth age groups, representing 14 teams. At the conclusion of the competition, RST Tsunami finished 3rd overall in both Total Points (raw score) and Points-per-Splash (average place points per swim) categories.
Nine (9) Tsunami swimmers finished with State Titles to include two relay titles, 13 Tsunami swimmers were Highpoint Award recipients, and multiple state and state meet records were set. Highpoint athletes are classified as the top (5) most winningest competitors in each of their respective age groups, outscoring all other competitors.
