Two people arrested following Thursday night disturbance

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Police say one man has been arrested following an incident late Thursday night at 1023 N. Lacrosse Street.

Police initially responded to the address for a report of a disturbance involving a firearm.

On arrival, police were directed around the building to where the suspect with the gun was located.

The male was detained and a firearm was recovered from his person. The male was identified as 29-year-old Kael Jacobson of Rapid City.

After to speaking to witnesses, it was determined that the incident had begun as a disturbance among neighbors. At one point, Jacobson brandished the gun. It was learned that Jacobson and displayed the gun at the direction of a female, identified as 31-year-old Alicia Soberal of Groton.

Jacobson was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault Intimidation, and Soberal was placed under arrest for Abetting Aggravated Assault.

Both were transported to the Pennington County Jail.
