UPDATE: Due to cold weather forecasted Wednesday for the Rapid City area, the Rapid City’s Parks and Recreation Department is rescheduling this week’s Teen Night Pool Party at Horace Mann Pool. The first of two summer teen night events was scheduled for this Wednesday, but is being rescheduled to next Monday, July 21 due to tomorrow’s forecasted cold temperatures.

RAPID CITY, SD—Rapid City’s Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a night of games, food and fun next week with the first of two Teen Night Pool Parties at Horace Mann Pool.

The Teen Night Pool Parties are scheduled next Wednesday and also on August 13 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  The events are free and are open to youth ages 10-17, offering a variety of games, food and fun.

City officials hope to build on the success of previous teen pool party events, including a series of parties held last summer.

“The teen pool parties are a great way to have fun with friends at the pool and a great way to experience the summer,” said City Parks and Recreation Special Events Coordinator Lindsey Myers. “There will be games, food, fun and of course, swimming.”
