Tickets for the Class of 2025 Honors Ceremony On Sale July 1, 2025
SOUTH DAKOTA – The South Dakota Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that tickets for the 2025 Honors Ceremony are now on sale, beginning Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The annual event, which recognizes outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the state of South Dakota, will take place September 12–13, 2025, in Chamberlain and Oacoma.
The Class of 2025 Inductees being honored are: Johnny Brockelsby (Business), Greg Carmon (Philanthropy), Dr. Mark Harlow, M.D. (Philanthropy), Michael Huether (General), Dr. John A. Ismay, D.V.M. (Agriculture), Former Chief Justice Robert A. Miller (Professional), Walter Schaefer (1935 – 2023) (General), David Wayne Snyder (General), Jim Soyer (1947 – 2021) (Political), and Dr. Sophie Two Hawk, M.D. (Professional).
In addition to the Class of 2025 Inductees, the South Dakota Hall of Fame is proud to celebrate a new category–the Historical Figure category–featuring a special 11th Inductee. This year’s Historical Figure is Dr. Valentine McGillycuddy, M.D. (1849 – 1939), South Dakota’s first surgeon general.
The two-day celebration includes a variety of events designed to highlight the remarkable accomplishments of the honorees and provide opportunities for the public to engage with their stories. The list of events includes a grand opening ceremony, an Inductee brunch featuring a panel discussion, the Honors Ceremony banquet, and more.
