PIERRE, S.D. – Even though the Spearfish Sasquatch collected nine hits to the Oahe Zap’s 7, they still fell 7-5 on Tuesday at Pierre.
Isaac Martinez and Payton Fort each collected two hits for Spearfish.
Caleb Hoppe opened the game for the Sasquatch. The righty gave up three hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking six.
Spearfish Sasquatch iLB tallied nine hits in the game.
The two teams meet again today.
