UNDATED – Sam Kwapnioski collected four hits in four at bats, as the Spearfish Sasquatch defeated the Oahe Zap 15-3 on Monday.
Kwapnioski hit a solo home run to right field in the ninth inning, doubled in the sixth inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
Diego Trujillo stepped on the bump first for Spearfish Sasquatch iLB. The hurler gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking one. Austin Arrocha began the game for Oahe Zap iLB. The pitcher gave up five hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out none and walking three. Aidan Knowles and Brian Young each came on in relief for Spearfish Sasquatch iLB and shutdown Oahe Zap iLB.
The two teams meet again Tuesday.
