10th Annual Brandon Delzer/Pedro Dennis Memorial Bull Riding Event Set for June 20–21

Rapid City, SD – The dust will fly and adrenaline will surge as the 10th Annual Brandon
Delzer/Pedro Dennis Memorial Bull Riding event returns to Rapid City on June 20th and 21st.
Held at Thad Bothwell’s arena at 7:00 p.m. both nights, the event promises two evenings of
thrilling bull riding action, family-friendly fun, and heartfelt remembrance.


Sanctioned by TPBR Co., this high-stakes bull riding competition will feature a $6,000 added
purse, with a grand prize awarded to the champion bull rider. Each rider will draw one bull, with
an entry fee of $100 and a strict cap of 40 entries. The top six qualifiers from June 20th will
move on to compete in the championship round on June 21st. Calcutta betting starts at 6:30
p.m.


Proceeds from the event will benefit the Brandon Delzer Memorial Scholarship and the
Pedro Dennis Memorial Scholarship, helping to support local students in honor of the two
beloved Rodeo Athletes.


The event is more than just bull riding. A special feature will be the 2025 Freestyle Bullfighting
Match—“Battle of the Badges”—representing a showcase of talent and bravery. Attendees can
enjoy mutton busting for the kids, food vendors, and beer on-site. Live music will be provided
by Tim Zack Band.


Adding to the excitement, a $1500-added Cornhole Tournament will take place on the
morning of June 21st, beginning with a blind draw at 9:00 a.m. and a bags fly time at 10:00 a.m.
Entry is $30 per player or $10 for spectators.


The venue is located at 11618 Erickson Ranch Road, Rapid City, SD 57702. Entry is $15 at the
gate, and children 5 and under are admitted free.
