BLACK HILLS, SD — The Black Hills Playhouse’s 79th season is right around the corner, and
excitement is building across the region! Officially kicking off on Sunday, June 8, 2025, this
summer’s season, “The Impossible Must Be Possible”, features four crowd-pleasing
productions: Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, Legally Blonde: The Musical,
Waitress: The Musical, and The Book of Will. With 53 performances and a dynamic company of
professional artists from across the country, the Playhouse promises another unforgettable
summer of theatre nestled in the beauty of Custer State Park.
In addition to its stellar lineup, the Black Hills Playhouse is offering a variety of special event
days designed to welcome new audiences, celebrate the arts, and make live theatre accessible
to all.
Tatanka Teaser Cabaret Season Warmer — May 31 at 2:00 PM
Start the summer early with this unique pre-season event! Enjoy audition performances from the
Season 79 company—hand-picked from over 2,500 applicants nationwide.

Pay-As-You-Can Performances — Saturdays at 7:30 PM
BHP invites the community to enjoy live theatre regardless of financial circumstances.
Sponsored by Julie Oswald, these accessible performances occur on the Saturday before each
production opens. Suggested Donation: $10 for those who can.
