RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City woman has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of her mother.
Taylor Bird Horse, 26, faces alternative counts of first degree manslaughter and aggravated assault in the death of her mother, identified as 45-year-old Kari St. John.
Prosecutors alleged Bird Horse fatally stabbed St. John with a pair of scissors on April 7th.
She faces up to life in prison if she’s convicted on the manslaughter charge.
Her next court appearance has been set for July 24th.
