Rapid City, SD – On Wednesday, April 16th, the official Facebook page of South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden stated the Governor is working with a potential buyer for TikTok to ‘explore brining the company to South Dakota.’ Rasner Media of Wyoming offered 47.45 Billion to acquire TikTok’s US operations. Rasner Media is owned by Reid Rasner and backed by a group of private equity investors.
There are currently over 150 million Americans using TikTok.
Former Governor Kristi Noem banned TikTok from state employee owned devices under Executive Order 2023-06.
