RAPID CITY, APRIL 15, 2025 – The YMCA of Rapid City is excited to announce registration is now open for its 2025 Giraffic Park Summer Day Camp, offering children a summer filled with adventure, learning, and fun in a safe, nurturing environment. The Giraffic Park camp will run from June 2 through August 8; however summer day camps are also offered through the Custer and Edgemont YMCAs offering multiple locations across the Black Hills.
Open to children entering second through sixth grades Fall 2025, the YMCA Giraffic Park provides a wide range of age-appropriate activities designed to promote physical health, creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. Campers can look forward to swimming, arts and crafts, STEM activities, sports, weekly field trips, hikes and themed days — all led by experienced, caring and certified YMCA staff. NEW for 2025, the camp has added a western BB gun range and hammock circle.
“We’re thrilled to welcome families back for another unforgettable summer,” said Alisa Cunningham, YMCA Youth Development and Camp Director. “Our camps are all about helping kids make new friends, build character and confidence, and stay active while having the time of their lives.”
With a strong emphasis on safety and inclusivity, the YMCA offers financial assistance to ensure that every child has the opportunity to participate, regardless of their financial circumstances.
