Library will be open Good Friday but closed Easter Sunday
RAPID CITY–City administrative offices will be closed next Friday in observance of Good Friday. The holiday closure will affect city transit and trash collection services.
The City Landfill will be closed and there will be no collections Friday, April 18. City garbage collection will be adjusted during Easter week with normal collection on Monday, with Tuesday to Friday collections scheduled a day earlier (Tuesday on Monday, Wednesday on Tuesday, etc.). All routes will be completed by Thursday afternoon. Residents are asked to set out trash and recycling containers by 7 a.m. and leave out until collected. The Landfill will be open with normal hours of operation on Saturday, April 19.
Rapid Transit Services, including RapidRide and Dial-A-Ride, will not be operating on Good Friday, but will operate on a normal Saturday schedule on Saturday, April 19.
City offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Good Friday, April 18. The Monument will also be closed on Good Friday but open for events on Easter Sunday.
The Rapid City Public Library will be open Good Friday and closed on Easter Sunday.
