RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City woman who is facing murder charges from a shooting on East New York Street entered a plea of not guilty during a court appearance Monday.
Pam White Butterfly, 29, is charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree attempted murder related to a February 23 shooting. White Butterfly allegedly shot Lenart Brown Eyes and another man, killing Brown Eyes and leaving the other man critically injured.
If convicted of first-degree murder, White Butterfly faces either the death penalty or life in prison without parole.
She is being held on a $2 million bond. Her next court appearance was set for May 15.
