Traffic restricted to one lane for two weeks.

RAPID CITY, SD—Concrete panel repairs will begin Monday on a busy stretch of St. Joseph Street at Halley Park.  The project will have major traffic impacts for approximately two weeks.

Crews will initiate work on Monday and traffic will be reduced from three eastbound lanes to one lane from West Street to West Boulevard. Repairs are expected to be completed by April 15. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to bypass the affected area and to allow additional time to reach destinations if traveling through the impacted area during the project period. Drivers and pedestrians are also advised to be cautious in the affected area as the crosswalk from 12th Street to Halley Park will be closed during this time.

A message board has been placed near the area to alert drivers of the traffic restriction.
