RAPID CITY, SD– Last week, Mayor Jason Salamun announced to the public that he would be appointing National Guard veteran and BHSU/USD Graduate Leah Braun as his Chief of Staff.
Mayor Salamun in a statement said: “This role carries tremendous responsibilities with the goals of enhancing the efficiency, coordination and impact of our work as we continue to serve the people of Rapid City”. The position, new to the Rapid City Mayor’s Office appears to be mainly managerial in its capacity and reflects Braun’s past experience in the field of Human Resources, as she held the Interim position for Rapid City from 2023 to 2024.
Braun is expected to take on her new role the week of April 6th.
