SUMMERSET, S.D. – Piedmont area fire crews were among several agencies who responded to a house fire in the Wonderland Homes area Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 12:30 PM on February 26, 2025, the Meade County Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a house fire in the Wonderland Homes area.
Emergency responders, including multiple fire departments, were dispatched to the scene at 7300 block of Wonderland Ct., Black Hawk SD.
Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of responding fire departments, the fire was contained to a single structure, with less than one acre of surrounding land affected.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
