RAPID CITY, S.D. — According to federal court documents unsealed Jan. 8, 55-year-old Reed Thompson, Rapid City, has more victims than originally thought.
Thompson has been accused of rape, sexual exploitation and other charges in Pennington County.
At the time, investigators said Thompson had given four 13-to-15 year old girls drugs so he could take advantage of them.
Authorities now believe Thompson had at least five victims, and he’s now charged with federal sex trafficking.
The alleged crimes happened for more than a year – between January of 2023 and August of 2024.
