SPEARFISH, S.D. – Police in Spearfish say a male subject attempted to force entry into a gas station in Spearfish early Saturday morning.
While the subject was unable to gain access into the store, police say a male subject did force his way into the St Onge Bar later that morning.
The suspect in the two incidents is believed to be the same subject and was wearing the same clothing in surveillance video obtained by police.
Law enforcement says the suspect was wearing a dark colored face covering, bluish hoodie, dark colored or black coat, light camo pants and dark gloves.
Police say the subject was able to force access into a video lottery machine at the St Onge Bar and seal the cash box and its contents.
Police are looking into whether or not the incidents are related to a robbery at Spearfish convenience store last week.
