Rapid City, SD — 50501 South Dakota, a state chapter of the 50501 Movement—a national coalition demanding justice, transparency, and accountability—announces a major demonstration in Rapid City on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM outside City Hall on the public sidewalks along Omaha St. This event is part of a nationwide effort to resist executive overreach, defend democracy, and oppose the harmful policies of Project 2025.

The 50501 Movement is a grassroots coalition fighting against corruption, authoritarianism, and the erosion of democratic institutions. While it is a decentralized movement, every individual, organization, and community involved plays a leadership role in guiding the nation toward a future built on justice and integrity.

Under the rallying cry “REMOVE, REVERSE, RECLAIM,” 50501 South Dakota calls on all South Dakotans to take action:

REMOVE corrupt politicians from office.

REVERSE the damage inflicted.

RECLAIM our rights, our government, and our future.

The April 5th protest, hosted by 50501 South Dakota and sponsored by Indivisible Rapid City, will be a peaceful gathering. Attendees are encouraged to bring signs, energy, and a commitment to protecting democracy.

This event follows the 50501 South Dakota March 14th Veterans March in Rapid City and the national success of the 50501 March 4th for Democracy, where tens of thousands of Americans rallied to demand accountability and defend their freedoms. The 50501 Movement continues to build momentum, calling on South Dakotans to stand united against corruption and authoritarianism.

This is more than a movement—it is a modern civil rights struggle.

We refuse to accept a future where money and power dictate our fundamental rights as Americans. We are witnessing, with growing alarm, the systematic dismantling of our constitutional protections, the unchecked consolidation of power, and the failure of elected officials to stand against corruption.

While some politicians shrink from their responsibility, the American people are rising. Across every background, community, and state, we are coming together to demand accountability and push back against those who seek to undermine our democracy.

At this critical moment in history, we declare that the government must serve the will of the people—not the interests of billionaires seeking to buy influence and control.
