Pierre, S.D.-The Second Century Habitat Fund (SCHF) is proud to announce the release of the 2025 Habitat Supporter Decal, featuring Grassy Draw by South Dakota artist Brent Beal.

This special-edition decal will be available to individuals who donate $10 or more to the Second Century Habitat Fund through Go Outdoors South Dakota. It’s a meaningful way for South Dakotans to support pheasant habitat conservation—while proudly displaying their commitment on vehicle windows, coolers, and gear.

This year’s decal also features Governor Larry Rhoden’s signature, representing his strong endorsement of SCHF’s mission to restore and retain pheasant habitat across South Dakota. His support reinforces the critical need to protect our state’s natural resources and outdoor legacy.

Beal’s artwork—selected by popular vote on SCHF’s Facebook page—depicts the quiet beauty of the prairie: a hunter and his dog in pursuit of pheasants through rolling grasslands, with a winding stream and expansive blue skies overhead. As a thank-you, Brent has been invited to attend the 2025 SCHF Pheasant Hunt this October as an honored guest.

Adding to the excitement, the original “Grassy Draw” painting will travel with SCHF to events across the state throughout the year, giving South Dakotans a chance to see the piece in person. The artwork will be auctioned off at the 2025 Governor’s Hunt in October, with proceeds supporting ongoing habitat and conservation initiatives.

“We’re grateful for every artist who submitted their work and everyone who voted to help select this year’s design,” said Elysabeth Kierl, Executive Director of SCHF. “While Grassy Draw earned the top votes, the quality and passion shown in all submissions was truly inspiring. We hope every artist will consider entering again in 2026—we love seeing South Dakotans express their connection to wildlife and conservation through art.”
