RAPID CITY, SD  — Police have arrested 28-year-old Sheyanne Farmer following a reported crash last night.

At 8:50pm yesterday, police responded to reports of a vehicle crash on Skyline Drive, near the intersection of Quincy Drive. “On arrival, police observed a black Ford SUV in the ditch,” Reads the report given by Brendyn Medina of the RCPD. “It had struck several trees which prevented it from travelling further down the steep embankment”.

Upon making contact with Farmer, police “noted her slurred speech and the strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person,” determining her to be the driver of the vehicle at the time of the accident and determining her to be too impaired to operate a motor vehicle, as well as not having insurance for the vehicle in question. As Farmer was determined to additionally be on parole at this time, she was placed under arrest for DUI (2nd), Open Container in a Motor Vehicle, No Proof of Insurance, and a Parole Hold.
