Two Shot Tuesday Night

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people injured Tuesday evening at an apartment complex on the city’s north side.


Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of E. Anamosa Street around 7:40 p.m. on Jan. 13 after receiving reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, police discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.


Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities stated their injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Investigators remained on the scene late Tuesday night to collect evidence and review surveillance footage from the area. Police are working to identify a suspect, but no arrests have been announced at this time.


The department indicated it will continue to coordinate with apartment management to improve security and prevent future violence at the property.
