RAPID CITY, S.D. – Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with the death of 43-year-old Randall Lonehill, whose body was discovered at an improvised outdoor encampment in Rapid City earlier this week.
Celeste Conquering Bear, 30, and Artie Black Bear, 41, both of Rapid City, were taken into custody on Jan. 30. Both face charges of Second Degree Murder regarding the ongoing homicide investigation.
According to officials, an autopsy determined that Lonehill’s death was caused by trauma associated with a physical assault/stabbing. The incident originally occurred on Jan. 26.
The Rapid City Police Department is conducting the investigation jointly with the assistance of the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office.
