Longtime Penguins defenseman Kris Letang out at least a month due to fractured foot
The surging Pittsburgh Penguins will have to find a way forward without longtime defenseman Kris Letang. The 20-year veteran is out a minimum of four weeks with a fractured foot. Penguins coach Dan Muse says Letang was injured during a 6-2 win over Chicago on Jan. 29. The 38-year-old Letang has three goals and 22 assists this season for the Penguins, who have points in their last eight games to surge into second place in the Metropolitan Division. The good news for Letang and the Penguins is the league will take a three-week break for the 2026 Olympics, meaning he may not miss more than a handful of games.
