Joel Embiid has returned to the 76ers lineup against Atlanta after missing nine games due to a sore right knee. Embiid had played in only six of 20 games, averaging 19.7 points and 5.5 rebounds. The 76ers upgraded Embiid to questionable on Sunday afternoon, and he was cleared to play after his pregame workout. Embiid last played in the 76ers’ win over Toronto on November 8. The 2023 NBA MVP, Embiid’s right knee soreness kept him from playing until Sunday. The 76ers could use Embiid as they head into a stretch of four games in the next seven days.
