Oregon State fires Trent Bray with Beavers off to 0-7 start
Oregon State has fired coach Trent Bray after the team fell to 0-7, its worst start since 1991. Athletic director Scott Barnes announced the decision on Sunday. Robb Akey will serve as interim head coach for the rest of the season while a national search for Bray’s successor is conducted. Barnes expressed gratitude for Bray’s dedication but cited unacceptable on-field results as the reason for the change. The decision followed a 39-14 loss to Wake Forest on Saturday. The school said Brayโs contract buyout will be covered by donor-generated funds.
