Opening statements have begun in the trial for Nathan Chasing Horse, the former “Dances With Wolves” actor accused of sexually assaulting Indigenous women and girls. Prosecutors allege he used his reputation as a medicine man to take advantage of his victims, who came to him for healing. Chasing Horse’s attorney says there is no evidence and said they were false accusations. Chasing Horse has pleaded not guilty to 21 charges that spans two decades. Attorneys for the state of Nevada are making their case after a week of jury selection.
