Montana’s Hauck says he’s retiring because he doesn’t like dealing with the changes in college game
Montana football coach Bobby Hauck has announced his retirement effective immediately. The Big Sky Conference’s all-time wins leader said he doesn’t enjoy his job anymore because of the direction college football has taken in recent years. Bobby Kennedy, who finished his first season as receivers coach, will succeed Hauck. The 61-year-old Hauck had two stints totaling 14 years with the Grizzlies and led the team to eight Big Sky championships, 13 playoff appearances and four national championship games. The 2025 team was 13-2 and reached the national semifinals.
