Rangers are beginning to find their identity with coach Mike Sullivan
A month of games into the Mike Sullivan era, the New York Rangers have a clear understanding of what their coach wants from them. Sullivan hockey is about defense first and playing fast, and that identity is starting to come together. The Rangers have allowed the second-fewest goals in the NHL even playing most of the time without sound two-way center Vincent Trocheck. That has kept them afloat while scoring the league’s second-fewest goals a game. Trocheck on Monday practiced with the team for the first time since getting injured Oct. 9.
