Teenagers charged in Louisiana parade shootings that injured child, 4 others

Authorities have arrested two teenagers in the shootings of a 6-year-old child and four others who were wounded during a parade in the small town of Clinton, Louisiana. The East Feliciana Parrish Sheriff’s Office said Sunday that the suspects, ages 19 and 15, are charged with attempted murder, obstructing justice and reckless discharge of a firearm at a parade. Gunfire sent people scrambling for cover Saturday during the Mardi Gras in the Country Parade. A sheriff’s official said all five victims were expected to survive. The sheriff’s office said the teens charged were among three people with guns taken into custody at the scene. The third person was charged with illegally possessing a firearm.
