Utah Mammoth sign Logan Cooley to an 8-year, $80 million extension
The Utah Mammoth have signed Logan Cooley to an eight-year, $80 million extension. The deal keeps the star center under contract through the 2033-34 season. Cooley will count $10 million against the salary cap starting when the contract kicks in next season. The 21-year-old Cooley has eight goals and four assists in 11 games, helping Utah move atop the Western Conference. Only four NHL players have scored more goals than Cooley so far, and the Pittsburgh native is putting himself in position to be considered for the U.S. Olympic team.
